Art is important for many reasons. Art fosters creativity, and that fosters invention. Also, art can be used for therapy, whether you are recovering drug addict or your are suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, doing art can be a healthy outlet.
Some artist do art for their own personal pleasure. Others make enough to support their hobby, and a bit more. The most famous artists, like Picasso, can sell their art work from a low end of $140k to a high end of $140 million. I would need to hit the mega jackpot at an online casino South Africa to afford a Picasso.
But regardless of why a person gets into art, Art is not a dying art.
Hunter Biden is an example of an artist that used art to better this life.
Who is Hunter Biden?
Hunter Biden is President Biden’s son who has had a history of being a drug addict and an addiction to pornography. He recently, within the last year, learned to paint during his drug rehabilitation therapy. If Hunter Biden is truly no longer doing illegal drugs, and he is no longer producing pornography, then it is great that he is now focusing his energy on making works of art.
How much are Hunter Biden’s art works selling for?
On 7 Oct 2021, each of Hunter Biden’s art works sold for $75k each. On 14 Aug 2021, Hunter Biden’s Art work was sold for $500,000. The cheapest Picasso painting sells for $140,000 and the most expensive sells for $140 million. Take a look at all of the other artists on this website. I see prices from around $90 to $3000. Nowhere even close to $500,000 or even $75, and most of the artists on this site have been doing their trade for a lot longer than Hunter Biden.
But let’s face it. Although it is great that Hunter Biden found something more productive to do with his life than do coke and create pornography, I do not think that there is a single artist on this website that honestly believes that after only 1 year of creating art, Hunter Biden’s paintings are worth $500,000 or even $75,000 each.
What style of painting does Hunter Biden do?

Hunter Biden’s art work are nice to look at, but I do not believe that they are better or worse than any other artist that is displayed on this website. In other words, selling his art work in the range that other artists on this website are selling their artwork.
Is Hunter Biden’s art work worth the price?
Anybody, who is being honest, knows that the people buying Hunter Biden’s art work and not paying for the piece of art (even if they do actually like the art). They are paying for access to Joe Biden, the current President of the United States.

So anybody paying $75k for Hunter Biden’s art work is not truly interested in Hunter Biden’s art work. They are interested in getting “access to the big guy”.
Summary
If Hunter Biden is no longer taking coke and he is no longer creating pornography, then it is great that he is using art has a healthy outlet.
But even if I were to say Hunter Biden’s artwork is nice, I do not believe is “better” than other artists on this website, for example Mark Bartle — yea, I admit it. I am into superheroes — mother of 4 boys — so if I was going to buy a piece of art, I would spend my money on a Mark Bartle painting over a Hunter Biden painting any day.
